Skip The Conflict connects clients with nationally accredited mediators to rectify these disputes without the extra fees and headaches.

Parenting Mediation & Family Dispute Resolution
Empathetic and creative mediation techniques are vital to family disputes where a child’s well-being is at stake. Avoiding the need for court and litigation, our Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) Practitioners seek to find common ground between all parties involved and offer compassionate solutions to ensure that the child’s best interests are prioritized.
Australian family law requires separated parents to try Family Dispute Resolution before requesting parenting orders from a family law court.

Our Mediation Process
Contact us for a no-obligation discussion.
Call or email anytime. That way, we can understand your concerns and work out the best plan moving forward.
Next, we will start the process of contacting all parties so you don’t have to do that. All we need is a contact email address or phone number, and we reach out to all parties involved.
We will arrange a pre-mediation meeting with each party separately.
We will have a check-in call/meeting with each party. The mediator will sit down with each party and discuss the dispute. Everything is kept completely confidential. We like to call this the three C’s, coffee, cake and conversation.
We will conduct the mediation session with all parties.
At this stage, all parties will meet together at a pre-agreed date and time. The mediator will facilitate a collaborative mediation process. An agreement will be reached once all parties are comfortable. If not, we can schedule another session to continue the mediation if agreed by all involved.
After the mediation session.
After the mediation, our clients find it helpful to have a check-in. We can do this via phone, email or face-to-face. Some agreements will need to be adjusted over time. This provides the perfect opportunity to confirm that all parties are happy and are moving forward in the right way.
